I guess Samp will do the "Hide Away Blues" flip next (the "A" side
according to old Imperial ads of the time) which performed better in
the 1950 Battle

I don't agree. I (or anyone) could probably learn to play that intro
note for note, but what he does on this record is not even dreamable.

Of course not, but now you're talking about compositional skills, not
piano playing skills.

Of course not, but now you're talking about compositional skills, not
piano playing skills.
They go hand in hand. That intro would not sound so spectacular on other instruments.

SPONTANEOUS LUNACY VERDICT 7/10
-----------
MEATY BEATY BIG AND BOUNCY!
I like any record where Fats gets to showcase his piano skills. For
once Sampson scored it right.
He showcases his piano skills with that amazing intro that he came up with for "Blueberry Hill."
----------
I don't agree. I (or anyone) could probably learn to play that intro
note for note, but what he does on this record is not even dreamable.
You might be able to learn it, but you'd never be able to create it as he did.

This is turning into a "My Cousin Vinny" routine, but...let me introduce
the term *virtuosity*. Instead of "piano playing skills" I'll say
"piano virtuosity." Do you get it now? The intro to "Blueberry Muffin"
does not require virtuosity. "She's My Baby" does.
It's unbelievable that you're actually arguing with me after I *praised*
Fats Domino.
