Hot Rock ??
If there's a story there, pray tell.
This was 1968 okay and I expect the quirks of youth knew no more
bounds over there than they did on this side of the lake. Back then
among the avid rock 'n' roll fan fraternity I mixed with many of us
had nicknames usually (but not always) based around record titles.
I got that name because I was the only one in our crowd that owned a
near mint 45RPM copy of what was then a real Holy Grail of 50's rock
'n' roll collecting----Johnny Carroll's "Hot Rock" which was always
rare enough on its original natiive US Decca pressing.
But the copy on UK Brunswick was 10 times rarer still!!
