putting modesty aside, Dennis, I've introduced an adjunct to the
ultra flexible English language:

if you start a sentence, in Usenet (and perhaps in any social media?),
with a lowercase letter, you don't need a "." at the end of the sentence,
if this sentence is preceded and followed by a blank line

:-)
