We're in the same range. I gave everything but the Richard Berry a 6. The Berry gets a 4.

From 1958 (I *think*) and backed by "The Ozark Toppers" this is a
pretty good rockabilly effort . Not much known of Mr Jackson other
than he hailed from Cadet Mo and operated his own Starday custom
pressed Crestwood label (on which the above record appeared).

From November 1955 (its reviewed in Billboard that month---in their
country & western section!!) this was one of the last releases on Bob
Geddins' famous Big Town label of Oakland California. However Wilson's
urgent r&b performance here sold well enough that after the demise of
Big Town Geddins reissued "Oh! Red" on another of his family of record
labels---Irma.In 1960 Smiley Lewis came out with a similar "Oh Red"
for Imperial. The Wilson recording was waxed in Miami in 1955 with
Lafayette Thomas on guitar and probably Jimmy McCracklin at the piano

From 1957 on the Everlast label comes "Deserie-Part 2".

And what's so bad about that?

Very average kinda dance number by Berry & co on the Flip label of Los
Angeles from 1958.

True Love Can Be - Ron Holden

From 1960 comes this very ordinary entry on Donna with shades of his
earlier "Love You So" biggie which I never liked much either--I ALWAYS
played the "My Babe" side which I found MUCH better). And which side
still features today much higher on my 1959 favorites list.

No doubt on which record is leaving this time as Frank's Richard Berry jam finishes 8 points behind 4th place and is out. Steve's Jimmy Wilson wins the group with a fine showing also for Rick's Charts ballad. Diane's Marvin Jackson and Carl's Ron Holden also advance.
