duet with a vocal group backing

No

"The Rocking Brothers" were Jason & Wilbur Reynolds as mentioned on the
record label as well as on several online sites. There was also an piece
written on them in an old "Blues Unlimited" magazine

If I classified Ella's record as duets they would dominate my lists, but
I see these as a band with their female vocalist. Do you consider "Rock
On" and Buddy's other records with male vocalists as duets too?

Most of the Ella records either have it as Buddy Johnson and Orchestra
with Ella on vocals, or some just say Ella Johnson, although she's with
Buddy on those too.
