I accidentally discovered these AI 50s-style recordings a week ago.
There are quite a few AI Doo Wop recordings - I was impressed by
The Vi-Dells:
Lonely nights

Baby Please Tell Me Why

As for 40s/50s style music with Risqué titles and lyrics, here are
some I noted on June 30, for potentially posting here in a new and
amusing thread; the titles are as found (the brackets are not mine):

Peggy Davis - Don't Fart When I Go Down On You (1957) - RARE VINYL

Oh! Susanna (With Original Racist and Offensive Lyrics)

Is That A Pickle In Your Pocket? (Ft. The Floozy Sisters) 1940's Radio
Hits!

That's A F**king Ugly Baby (obscure 60s music)

Wanda Brass - Banging in The Corner Store (1955) - RARE VINYL

Motherf**ker I'm Broke (obscure 50s music)

F**K Off That's Not My Job (obscure 50s music)
http://youtu.be/bjhKTqdxRdo

Hawk Tuah (I Need You To Spit On That Thang) (rare 1950's vinyl)

Smash In My Fanny - Vulva Valoo (FULL SONG)

It Won't Fit Inside Because It's Too Big

Thank You For The Cream Pie

A Ball Slapping Happy Time

I Kicked Myself In The Nuts (1949) by Silly Pete and the Nut Crackers

Rod Wiggles - My Girl & My B*NER (1950s ROCK & ROLL)

This shite impressed you?

They are just as bad as the real Vidells and most other 1960s white doo
wop groups.

This is at least a high 7 for me, maybe a low 8 after I hear it more.

I too certainly enjoy the sound of this AI song.

with early 60s surf music in mind, more AI:

I Can't F**king Swim (I'm Gonna Die) [rare early 60s turf rock vinyl]

I Can't Get It Up (rare early 60s vinyl)

YT comments:
"Nothing like soft rock"
"This could have been a big, strong hit, but it just couldn't rise up
the charts."
"The B-side was Hard Times"
"When your woody breaks down"
"Did any radio station in the US ever dare to play this?"
"I cant find anything about this record online."

----------
youtube is *flooded* with these things now, a lot of them made to sound
like 60s and 70s soul records.
There's a channel called AI for the Culture...at least it identifies
itself as AI, unlike others that pose as real people.
Problem is, at first I thought it said "Al" (as in Hibbler).

I checked them out. They don't sound like the years they claim to. This
one i supposed to sound like 1966. It's clear that it's not from then.

Seriously, these songs should be rated primarily on their sound rather
than on any prurient or cheaply amusing titles and lyrics - unless
perhaps you are appraising primarily from a broad-minded Novelty
perspective.

I agree with you about the increasingly dumb-ass scatological lyrics. I
feel like commenting "Dude! It was funny the first time."
