Actually it's by the stray cats.

http://www.taborama.com/archive/tab.php?tid=67163&aid=741&a=Stray%20Cats&t=Rock%20This%20Town&i=1
for the tab

Let me know if you want me to post the MP3.

Actually, although the recorded version most well known is by the
Stray Cats, the song was in fact written by their vocalist and guitarist,
Brian Setzer.

That's just being pedantic.

By the way, if you're a stray cats fan try hanging out at the cat club 2
doors down from the Whisky in LA.

I was inspired by the post to which I was responding.

But then on the Stray Cats album I have in my hands right now the song is
indeed credited to "Stray Cats" and not to Mr Setzer alone.

I don't doubt it. I went to http://bmi.com and searched the repertoire.
Setzer gets the royalties. If the following long URL is faithfully
reproduced you can follow it directly:

http://repertoire.bmi.com/TitleSearch.asp?querytype=WorkName&fromrow=1&torow=25
&keyname=rock%20this%20town&blnWriter=True

Look, I'm sure you're a nice enough person in real life. I was just
reacting to your gratuitous correction that turned out to be incorrect.

Yes but what I am looking for is the notes of the lyrics, not the tab
for the guitar (key of D). Brian Setzer wrote it and the Stray Cats
recorded it for a hit. The band Stray Cats has broken up, but Brian
still tours, and from what I hear, has a great act.
