1.
Eagles music, Eagles artist, Eagles
band, Eagles book
references
... which is not about the band
discussed here on the Desperado site.
In the Fifties, there was a doo-wop
band called The Eagles, who
recorded on Mercury. ...

"Tyin' To Get To You" was released in June 1954 on Mercury 70391 the
flip side was "Please, Please"
Mercury 70464 "(Will You, Won't You, Can't You) "Don't You Wanna Be
Mine"/"Such A Fool" (Sept. 1954)
Mercury 70524 "I Told Myself"/"What A Crazy Feeling" (Nov. 1954)

Perhaps everyones Unca Marvy can clue us in on this Vocal Group THE
EAGLES. There was a record in 1957 on Prep 118 "Kiss Them For
Me"/"Ladies In The Sky" But do not know if it was the same group.

In July of 1954 on the J.O.B. label 104 there was Eddie Clark and The
Eagleaires "Cloudy Weather"

WHERE's my U N C A !!!!!!

No, they never made much of a splash.

I have only ever had one of their records,
and it is the one you have on your CD.

If you would like to see a scan of the
original 45rpm on the Mercury label from
1954, I have just put it up on my FTP site.....

Its not a bad song.

Its funny how some one hit wonders can make an impact.

Its nice that the seventies Eagles website honors the fifties Eagles.

Wasn't there a 50s doo wop group called The Beatles?
